Am done with college, thank you and goodnight.

Brief update. Can't promise when (or if) there'll be another one. Playing it by ear. 1. Only a few more months until graduation. I am so ready to be finished. 2. Writing a thesis about Moby Dick and 19th century science writing. This thing is consuming my soul. 3. I'm back on the stage, probably for the last time. We open in just under a month 4. I'm joining the military. I've already been accepted for officer training in the summer and am just waiting on a signature or two before I take the service oath. I think that's really all that matters. In deciding on (4) I've done lots of taking-stock-of-things and sorting out priorities, so the

1. In a week or so I'll be ready to officially declare English/astro. Even though I've spent a year and a half telling myself I wouldn't. 2. I really want to make a stormtrooper costume for next Halloween. 3. I'm writing a sci-fi version of Moby Dick for a seminar project. Perhaps the best final paper I've ever had to write. 4. Will hopefully be writing a thesis next year on Moby Dick, but first I have to be organized enough to write the proposal. 5. Merry Wives of Windsor opens in a week. I have no life. 6. Carillon elections next week. I think I'm up for president. 7. Way too much happening this semester. 14 class sessions per week. I
